Some text about investment management

It is crucial that the investment strategy of any portfolio reflects your risk tolerance and that the chosen underlying investments can realistically provide the desired level of growth and income to meet your objectives. To determine this, we ask you to initially complete our Risk Profile Questionnaire which is used as a discussion document to ensure the risk level is aligned to your investment objectives and that you have a good understanding of probable outcomes.  We review this with you at least annually.

We also ensure that the most appropriate investment recommendation is utilised for each client. We treat each client as an individual and understand the importance that our range of solutions cover all possible investment preferences. Our detailed initial and ongoing discussions with our clients ensures the correct tailored approach is always being used. As truly Independent Financial Advisers, we will consider all investment strategies that are suitable for our clients to achieve their goals. This could include the use of Discretionary Managed Portfolios, multi asset risk funds, bespoke investment portfolios to suit a client’s preferences and needs.

Investment Committee

Our Investment Committee (IC) are dedicated to helping us set and review the overall asset allocation we use within our client’s investment solutions. Where discretionary fund management (DFM) solutions are utilised as part of a clients approach the IC are instrumental in challenging the DFM fund selection and overall approach.

The IC meets formally every quarter to review the asset allocation of portfolios and to agree any changes to be made to portfolios. We do not just rely on our own internal expertise we are delighted that Graham Harrison and Peter Bickley form an integral part of the IC. Peter formulates the risk budgets for each portfolio by setting the asset allocation.

The wider investment community will be fully aware of the expertise offered by Asset Risk Consultants, (ARC) the firm co-founded by Graham where he remains group Managing Director. Graham’s role is to challenge, question and bring a truly impartial viewpoint to the discussions and decisions the IC make.

Our IC has over 160 years of combined experience.
